A Perth woman says that “he cries every day” after she was slapped with an invoice of $ 5000 of a local crane company.
Lisa, who did not want her last name to be used, told 7News that she “gave up” his car at the door of his garage before leading him to work where he waited for a crane to pick it up.
King Tow arrived at Lisa’s workplace and towed her car back to her workshop, a trip of only 13 km, although Lisa believed that the truck had been sent by the RAC.
She says she doesn’t know how the business knew she needed a trailer.
“I can’t afford to pay that amount of money, I don’t have a spare cash,” he said.
Lisa signed the launch form, which did not list a price, and says she did not read the small print that she warned that she could be charged up to $ 7000.

In a statement to 7News, King Tow said it was a small family business and that the responsibility to pay the costs was in the RAC.
It comes despite the WA government, reforming its towing laws in January, limiting towing rates to $ 485 in the Metropolitan area of Perth.
The assistant transport minister Jessica Stojkovski said she was “disgusted” that some operators “were still trying to find lagoons.”
“I can’t comment on individual cases, but I know they have been working with the operator to try to recover their car and we have been providing assistance,” he said.
A spokesman for the transport department said it was “unacceptable” that some cranes companies were “exploiting” WA drivers, but said that legislative reforms were still ending.
“It is unacceptable that dishonest trailer truck operators still find ways to exploit innocent motorists,” they said.
