Ottawa homicide unit investigates death of man in Sunday shooting – Ottawa


Homicide investigators at the Ottawa Police Department are reportedly investigating after a man was shot dead in the 300 block of Craig Henry Drive around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

In a social media article, police said officers responded to reports of shooting and found two victims who were taken to the hospital.

A 20-year-old man succumbed to his injuries while a 21-year-old man remains hospitalized with serious but lifeless injuries.

No one has been detained so far, but police said the homicide will collect evidence and interview potential witnesses.

Police advised people to avoid the area providing work space for investigators. They also ask anyone who may have information about the shooting to contact the Ottawa Police Department’s Homicide Department at 613-236-1222 EXT. 5493.
