The new video shows Thurson’s conversation with the rooster coach

The consequences of Spencer Leniu confrontation with Johnathan Thurston on Friday night continue, with channel nine launching the commentator’s video after the game with the coach of the Trent Robinson roosters.
The audio becomes clearer in the middle of the discussion in the tunnel in Lang Park after the victory of the Roosters 26-16 over the Broncos, with an agitated Thurson talking to Robinson with Captain James Tedesco.
Robinson: Everyone went after him. Be called racism … [unintelligible]
Thurson: However, I never said that.
Robinson: I don’t know what you said, I just say …
Thurson: I said that I don’t think it’s racist. I just said that I don’t think the punishment is adjusted to crime.
After Leniu called Broncos five eighth Ezra Mam a “monkey” during the clash of the 2024 round in Las Vegas, Thurson said that Leniu’s “racial abuse” should have caused a more severe punishment “to put a position, not only for the game but also for society.”
Charging…
On Friday night, Robinson said the conversation was simply “two guys having a conversation” and “nothing bad was said.”
But Thurson, in a statement, Leniu said “he made me an abusive comment, which took me and those around me by surprise.”
“The comment was not racial in nature, but was too aggressive in tone and unjustified,” said Thurson.
“After the game, I approached Spencer in the field to seek clarity about what he said and why he had said it. Spencer was again too aggressive, and it was clear that he had interpreted the comments I made 12 months ago as a personal attack against him, which was not the case.”
Thurson said he is open to more discussions with Leniu.
It’s time to football!
Hello and welcome to another glorious Sunday of the action of the Rugby League.
We have the storm against the Warriors in an AAMI park with exhausted tickets in Melbourne, before the knights and tigers wrap things in the hunter.
Let’s get into that.
