Hundreds of runners have participated in North Korea’s first international marathon since the Coronavirus pandemic began.
Prior to Sunday (April 6), the last Pyongyang International Marathon was in 2019.
North Koreans won both the men’s race and the women’s race.
A travel business that brings foreigners to North Korea, Korne Tours, said they brought in at least two hundred people for the marathon classified as amateurs with a serious running experience.
Tourism and foreign affairs remain severely limited by authorities in North Korea.
