There were hundreds of children and even more young adults who enjoyed a Perth Fair for toy collectors on Saturday.
Some 1500 people attended the Nexus toy fair in East Victoria Park to take a look at everything, from action figures and comics to memories of Coca-Cola and Vintage Toys.
Lucas, nine years old, and Jake Young, six years old, enjoyed looking at the thousands of mini lego figures on exhibition.
The position, led by Michael Mikeska, had favorite films characters such as Star Wars and The Avengers, as well as many animal figures.
“There is no way that I will dream of counting them,” Mikeska said about the collection in his post.
“They are popular figures with which children and adults connect.
“Everyone relates to the characters in their own way so you can create your own world.”
Seller Bill Mason has been collecting memories of Coca-Cola for almost 40 years, possessing bottles since the 1950s.
“Coca -Cola put his name in almost everything you can think of, even beach balls,” he said.
“I started collecting in Melbourne and then we moved here 25 years ago, so I dragged everything with me.”
The organizer of Nexus Toy Fair, Brent Scotchmer, said it was always great to see the smiling faces of the collectors who had found the toy they were looking for.
“Like someone who is placed, it may be difficult to find things after a while,” he said.
“I see people who come here four times a year and still manage to go out with bags full of things.
“We see people get so happy.”
