Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe was admitted to hospital after “feeling bad” for a number of days, his club said.
In a statement confirming that the 47-year-old will miss the team’s next match against Manchester United on Sunday, they said he felt bad for a number of days.
“The Magpies head coach was admitted to hospital late Friday night after feeling bad for a number of days,” the statement said.
‘Medical staff kept Eddie in the hospital overnight for further tests going on.
“He is aware and talks to his family and continues to receive knowledgeable medical care.
‘Everyone at Newcastle United is expanding their best wishes to Eddie for a quick recovery, and further updates will follow over time.
“Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will lead the team on St James’ Park on Sunday, supported by the club’s first team staff.”
