The pet detectives of the Kangala Wildlife Rescue Group have led the search for the pet that disappeared from the owners Josh and Georgia while they were on vacation on the island of Kangaroo in 2023.
“Seeing that video of her moving and jumping and looks very light, quite well, it was quite emotional,” Georgia said.
The couple had been a bit skeptical about recent sightings and granulated images, but the new video has filled them with emotion.
“It has become so real that the probabilities are in our favor that we are going to take it home,” Georgia said.
“There will not be so many sausage dogs in that area.”
Captured in the cameras of the wildlife group yesterday morning, the dog seems to be in good shape.
“We simply could not believe it because six months ago we would not have expected to be in this situation today,” Josh said.
“The plan is that you feel really comfortable with the food they are taking out, put it comfortable with that area, I hope you continue to return.”
The owners have thanked the rescue group for continuing the thorough and expensive search.
“Hopefully we return to the island to pick it up and meet her.”
