Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to repay against the Houthis and their Iranian “Masters” after the group launched a rocket attack at the country’s most important international airport.

The rocket impact left a smoke plate and briefly stopped flights and commuting at the airport. Some international carriers canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv for a few days.
Four people were lightly wounded, said paramedics, Magen David Adom.

The attack came hours before senior Israeli cabinet ministers voted to strengthen the country’s military operations in the Gaza Strip, and when the army began to call thousands of reserves in anticipation of a larger operation in the enclave.
Israel’s security cabinet has since voted to approve the expansion of the Gaza offensive, according to the country’s public broadcaster.

After the attack, air, road and rail traffic were stopped, police said, although it was resumed about an hour later.
In a statement on their telegram channel, the Israeli Army (IDF) said that the initial investigation into the fallen missile found that the likely cause was a “technical problem with the intercept that was launched to the rocket”.
Furthermore, the evaluation of the IDF found ‘no malfunction’ in the tracking procedure, interception systems or home warning mechanisms.
The Houthi group said in a statement that, in response to what it described as an “escalation” of Israeli activities in Gaza, it would now impose “a comprehensive airblock” at Israel, especially at airports, including Ben Gurion Airport.
The group called on International Airlines to cancel all flights to Israeli airports to “preserve the safety of their aircraft and their customers”.
