Transcona remains a stronghold for the New Democratic Party as Shannon Corbett was elected as the region’s latest MLA.
Corbett won a by-election after the death of cancer earlier this year by MLA Nello Altomare.
According to the Manitoba election, Corbet won more than 3,600 votes, far ahead of PC’s Shawn Nason, who came in with less than 1,600 votes.
