S Upermarket Giant Colles is remembering salads that contain spinach for fears that they can be contaminated.
The retirement is for salads containing spinach sold between March 20 and yesterday, March 29.
Coles said that the products impacted with use dates until April 9 could be contaminated with E. coli (Stec) Shiga-Toxin producer.
The affected products were sold between March 20 and 29 in the supermarkets and online in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania and the Law.
Some products were also sold in southern Australia and northern territory.
Coles has warned customers who do not eat the salad, since they could get sick.

- Spinach 60g, 120g, 280g and 400g choles
- Choles Family Mix sauteed 400 g (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Colles Spinach and Kale 300g (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Colle spinach and 60g and 120g rocket
- Beetslaw 320g Choles (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- COLES 4 MIX SHEET 200G
- COLES 4 LEAF MIX 120G
- Baby Leaf & Beet Blend 150g cabbage
- Baby Leaf Blend 300g Choles (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Colles Kitchen Salada Verde 300 g
- Mixed leaf garden salad 180 g (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Colles Mediterranean Style Bowl 185g (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Bowl 180g Beetslaw Bowl
- Batata Superfogo bowl in 180 g choles (including South Australia and Northern Territory)
- Colles Kitchen Roast Pumpkin fetta and 265g walnut salad
- Coles Kitchen Pesto Risoni Salad 190g
- Egg and spinach pot of 100g pots
“Food products with microbial contamination can cause diseases if consumed,” said the supermarket.
“Any client worried about their health should seek medical advice.”
E. coli means Escherichia coli, which is a type of bacteria.
It can cause gastrointestinal diseases such as diarrhea.
