The entire population of the remote city of Thargomindah of Queensland has fled through a higher land after the waters of the floods double the victory size caused ravages.
The 220 residents of the Queensland Southwest Community went to a higher land in the Thargomindah The airport Monday night after the waters of the floods exceeded the local record of 6.78m.
Some slept in their cars, others in the motorhome after the nearby dike broke its banks.
“The sections of the Deco Bank had fallen here and there in recent days, there was too much water,” said local Nancy Sparks.
For Tuesday night, water levels were 7.5 million and increased.
“I think it is beginning to reach its maximum point, it is still increasing in the city,” said Buloo Shire mayor John Ferguson.
“But I hope we are almost the worst.”
More than 100,000 lost cattle
The waters of the floods twice the size of Victoria have impacted the west and south of Queensland Inland, without relief in sight.
The locals were warned that water levels could increase again with the remains of the former tropical cyclone Dianne bringing more rain.
The heaviest falls will arrive in the south of Queensland and north of NSW on Wednesday, with total of more than 100 mm in some areas.
More rain will guarantee more difficulties for passengers, which will cause fears that some lose all their stocks.

The houses have been destroyed, the roads cut and the damaged fences, forcing many evacuations throughout the region.
The army is helping with the supplies to keep the cattle fed, but it is already believed that more than 100,000 sheep and cattle have been lost.
The scope of the damage will not be known until floods are relieved, which could take weeks.
“The level of devastation is immeasurable,” said Queensland Prime Minister David Crisafulli.
Communities to isolate for weeks
Important flood warnings have been issued from the border of the northern territory, through the center and south of Queensland Inland and even NSW.
Communities are expected to be isolated for more than two months in NSW after more rain successes.
“The important rain in Queensland is making its way through the basin and advancing in western NSW,” said NSW Ses Commissioner Mike Wassing, journalists.
“We are talking about isolation potentially for six to 10 weeks for some of those communities.”
“Floods continue to be extremely significant for the center and western Queensland and will be in the next few days,” Senior Angus Hine meteorologist said Tuesday.
“Some of the waters of the floods are even moving through the state borders now towards the territory of the north of the north and the northern parts of New South Wales.”
The rain is expected to relieve these areas on Wednesday night.
