Mohamed Salah signs two-year deal to stay at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s trophy-filled spell with Liverpool will be extended to a decade later, with the Egyptian striker signing a new contract with Premier League leaders, ending uncertainty about his future.

The 32-year-old Salah is one of three major senior players for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, which will exit the contract at the end of the season.

He is the first to extend his stay, and he has established his club in 243 goals in 394 appearances, ranking third in Liverpool’s all-time best scorers.

Liverpool did not disclose the length of Salah’s new deal in a announcement Friday, but manager Arne Slot said in a press conference it was a two-year contract.

Salah’s future at Liverpool has been around for much of the season.
