Metro North Public Health Health, Dr. Alexandra Uren, said anyone who was in these places during these times should control the symptoms for 18 days since they may have had contact.
Symptoms generally begin between seven and 18 days after infection.
“The early symptoms of measles include fever, tiredness, cough, nasal secretion and red and inflamed eyes,” said Uren.
“Those symptoms then progress to a stained red eruption, which often begins in the face before generalizing.
“Anyone who seeks treatment for a disease that believes that it could be the measles that should be called in advance before visiting their header or medical practice to allow precautions to be taken that can avoid the spread of the disease to others.
