The armed police are still looking for a suburb of Levin for a person who fled in a car on Friday afternoon.

The street was isolated for a while, while the police and the armed criminals squad made a search.

Police said that around 12:10 pm a police unit saw a vehicle of interest to the Highway 1 state in Levin and signaled the driver to stop.

Instead, the driver fled the police, who followed the car on MacArthur Street, where the three occupants fled on foot.

Police found a firearm and ammunition near the vehicle and, shortly thereafter, a woman was arrested without incidents.

Later on Friday, police said a second person was arrested, however, the police are still looking for the remaining person.

The strings were removed.
