Toronto police arrested a man who was accused of stealing police equipment from a parked car near the city of South Riverdale.
Officials said the incident occurred at about 4:00 a.m. on April 30, near Queen Street East and Broadview Avenue.
According to investigators, the man smashed the rear passenger window of the parked vehicle and stole unspecified items before escaping the area.
Police arrested Carl Castle, 34, of Quebec on Friday. He was charged with three offences, including mischief under $5,000, crimes of stealing less than $5,000, and failure to comply with the issuing order.
He plans to appear at the Toronto Area Bail Center on Saturday.
