A man was found dead after an explosion in a house in Nottinghamshire.
Emergency services were called to John Street, Worksop, on Saturday night that a home in the explosion had collapsed, and a major incident has been declared.
Police in Nottinghamshire said on Sunday afternoon that the body of a man in his 50s was restored in the wreckage later.
Warsop and Mansfield firefighters from the city were joined by Crews of Warsop and Mansfield, and Clowne in Derbyshire, after the incident occurred at 19.39 hours.
The property of the terrace was ‘partially destroyed’ and adjacent homes were also damaged, police said in Nottinghamshire, with people evacuating from various properties.
Videos posted on social media showed that the front of a terrace house was blown out and the roof collapsed, while neighboring houses damaged windows.
A Facebook user has reported a ‘big’ bang that shook the surrounding properties, while another ‘describes’ a tremendous bang, like a very hard fireworks’.
