A man was accused of murder regarding the death of Christ’s man, Tyrone Munns.
Munns, 39, was found seriously injured in a social housing complex at Innes RD in Mairehau on March 9, but died at the scene.
On Friday afternoon, armed police arrested a 29-year-old man in a Christchurch house, the senior sergeant of the detective Damon Wells confirmed.
The man will appear at the Christchurch District Court on Saturday.
Wells thanked the community members who presented information that helped make the arrest.
“I want to recognize Tyrone’s family at this difficult time and I hope this arrest will provide them with some degree of comfort as they suffer,” he said.
“We hope this news will provide some guarantee to our police commitment communities to seek violent criminals and blame them.
