Man accused of murder after Gisborne Mass Brawl dies while in bail

One of the two men accused of murder after two people were killed in a mass fight at a Gisborne party died.

Kane Taare-Gray and Chrysler Stevens-Mark died on March 23 last year after a big fight on Stevens-Mark’s 21st anniversary in Lytton RD.

A 29 -year -old man and a 26 -year -old man faced several accusations of injuring with the intention of causing serious body damage.

In May, the pair was charged together with murder for the murders.

Corrections told RNZ that the 26 -year -old man was electronically monitored by the court before he died.

Police said the death was referred to the coroner.

The 26 -year -old’s Whānau refused to comment.
