Pop stars Elton John and Madonna ended their decades-long dispute.
On Monday, the pop queen shared a photo on Instagram where she took to herself with the Rocket Man.
“We finally buried the axe,” Madonna wrote, posting a photo in the backstage after a rare appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
“I admired someone I really appreciated over the past few decades and felt hurt by someone I publicly disliked as an artist,” Madonna added. “I don’t understand. I was told that Elton John was a music guest on SNL and I decided to go.”
“Like a Virgin” singer said she needs to face him after years of muddy in the press.
Elton obviously demands forgiveness when the two finally meet face to face.
“The wall between us fell down,” Madonna added. “Forgiveness is a powerful tool. Within minutes, we hugged.”
She also teased the possibility of future collaboration.
“He told me he [had] Writing a song for me, he wanted to collaborate,” Madonna shared. “Like the circle where everything is complete! ”
