Luke Littler achieved the victories of the Premier League victory with a 6-1 win over Luke Humphries in the final at Newcastle.
Night Eight saw “The Nuke” Stephen Bunting and Rob Cross on their way to a fourth win of the competition.
Both Littler and Humphries previously met in two finals during the Premier League of this season, with one win each.
Humphries cut a frustrated figure when “The Nuke” stormed in a 4-0 lead with three consecutive double 20-boxes.
Missed doubles were expensive for the world number one during the entire competition, as Littler facilitated victory and then admitted to overcoming a fatigue during Thursday’s showcase.
He said: ‘I’m very happy with my performances tonight, of course it took off a bit and felt a little tired. I’m just good to get over the winning line in the final.
“My normal throw, or what I threw with tonight, I just felt tired, so it changed a little. After the match, Luke said he was tired, but I just had to get in there.
“I feel good. Tonight I felt tired when I would have been in the final last week. It’s all about making sure you are right that you’re right and on stage to play these games. ‘
An impressive evening for Littler started with a dominant quarterfinals over Bunting, where the Nuke scored a 6-0 victory within ten minutes, on average just under 110.
Bunting remains the bottom of the standings without a win so far, but Littler hopes he can get that much -needed victory under his belt.
“I think he said last week that he puts too much pressure on himself, without a eight -week victory,” Littler said.
“If I was Stephen, just relax. Says to win the first game. I’m sure he first got the first win and got that winning feeling that he was going on, I think he could win a night. “
Another dominant show makes Littler clear eight points at the top of the table after winning a total of 16 games.
He added: ‘I think it is at the moment that everyone says that I am the best in the world.
“But you know me, I’ll never really say I’m the best in the world, but I perform better than these guys, so maybe I should say I’m the best in the world, but we’ll just see how it goes.”
On the way to the final, Humphries had the full distance with Nathan Aspinall in their exciting semi-final, with a 6-5 win with an average of just under 107.
In the quarterfinals, ‘Cool Hand’ met Chris Dobey, who competed in front of his hometown crowd, which included some of Newcastle’s Carabao Cup award-winning team.
“Hollywood” entered the arena for the theme of “Local Hero”, but his homecoming was subdued by Humphries, who wrapped a 6-3 victory with double 16.
