‘Love letter’ — Gina Lori Riley showcases Windsor short film works

Gina Lori Riley dance enterprise will hold an action, fantasy and memory night in May to celebrate the movie scene in Windsor, dance theater, sports and storytelling.

The local short film display cabinet will highlight the work of Gina Lori Riley, Windsor’s own artistic director and founder of Gina Lori Riley’s dance business.

Screening of Riley’s award-winning film “I’m Here” (2024), one of which, 1979 (1979) and Commedia Fantasia (2000), will appear.

In addition, the original design of clothing, masks and headdresses will be exhibited. The Q&A session will be held with Riley and attending artists.

“This showcase is a love letter to art, dance theater and sports, especially our community,” Riley said in a press release.

“It is an opportunity to celebrate the power, movement and expression of the human condition through these wonderful films and inspire the next generation of artists in Windsor.”

All films are filmed in Windsor with the assistance of the film community and are sponsored by locally.

The local short film display cabinet was held on May 24 at the School of Creative Arts Theater at the University of Windsor, 37 Ave.

The door opens at 6pm, cocktail reception until 7pm, followed by the movie. The outside goalkeeper will automatically lock at 6:15 pm due to security measures
