Local fitness entrepreneurs have greatly promoted people to youth mentoring programs focusing on healthy living and physical exercise.
On Friday morning, Jaclyn Cordeiro gave the big sibling Windsor-Essex a $40,000 check.
Through fundraising, the money will support the organization’s Go Girls! Healthy body, healthy thinking plan, see girls aged 12-14 guided on physical exercise, a balanced diet and self-esteem.

The game is also the one that benefits from Cordeiro’s efforts! Eat smart, play smart plans, in which boys aged 11 to 14 are guided by a healthy lifestyle, including physical exercise, healthy eating, communication and emotional well-being.

“Every time we pair our kids with our mentors, we start something incredible, and it’s life-changing relationships built on friendship, trust and empowerment,” the organization said.
Cordeiro is the founder of Jacfit, a six-week workout program she developed during the lockdown of the Covid-19-19 pandemic. The organization said she is a fitness model, writer, lifestyle coach and registered nurse and participates in fitness competitions.
In 2024, Windsor-Essex’s Big Brothers Big Sisters supports over 300 children through Go Girls Game.
