The French nationalist Marine Le Pen has condemned his electoral prohibition imposed by the Court as a politically motivation attack by his opponents.
“The establishment has abandoned a nuclear bomb. If they turn to such extreme measures, it is because we are about to win,” said Le Pen in Paris on Tuesday, referring to the presidential elections in 2027.
He accused his rivals of increasing his efforts after the previous attempts of Socavarla had failed.
Le Pen was seen as a favorite in the race to replace Emmanuel Macron, who cannot support a third term.
Le Pen, 56, was declared guilty of embezzlement of the European Union and sentenced to a prohibition of five years to run for a position on Monday.
The failure has immediate effect.
Le Pen also received a four -year prison sentence, but will only begin once there is no more legal appeal.
