The authorities have been interviewing a man of about 20 years to believe that he is the last person to see Konanki last week, a source of application of the law familiar with the investigation told CNN.
“He went to the beach on March 6 early in the morning around 4 in the morning with friends and some other types they met at the resort,” Konanki’s father said.
“After that, his friends returned after a while and my daughter did not return, she didn’t appear from the beach.”
Around 5.55 in the morning last Thursday, the surveillance cameras captured five women and a man who left the beach, while it is believed that Konanki stayed with the other young man, the local police source said to CNN.
Later, the surveillance video shows the man who leaves the beach area at 9.55 am, said the source, without Konanki signs.
When Konanki did not return to his room, his companions initially looked for her before notifying the authorities, according to the police source. Then, the group reported that the hotel staff disappeared around 4 PM last Thursday, said the Riu hotels chain in a statement.

He told the authorities that both entered the ocean, but felt ill, left the water and fell asleep in a salon chair, according to the source.
He has said that Konanki could have been swept by a wave, on the left when he left the water, or saw her walking the beach with the water to the knees in the direction where he had left his clothes, the source said.
The young man is not considered a suspect at this time, said the source.
The authorities found a courage to stopped style belonging to Konanki in an armchair on the beach and said there were no signs of violence, according to the source.
