Many millions of pigs are ruining the landscape at the northern end of Queensland, where Mossman’s cane farmers report whole paddocks excavated by large turbhes of pigs of pigs
The state member of Hill Shane Knuth has criticized the decision of the Federal Government of Lana 74 million acres of bushes, warning that the wild pork crisis of the nation will worsen and lead to environmental devastation on an unprecedented scale.

The announcement of the Federal Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersk, to block the land equivalent to the size of New Zealand is nothing less than an ecological disaster, according to Knuth.
“This is a death sentence for the agricultural industry of northern Queensland and native wildlife,” Knuth said.
“Ask any property owner that limits state and national parks and will tell him that governments are the worst land managers, allowing national parks to become areas of reproduction of wild pigs.
Now, they want to worsen it, reducing more lands while backing to the catastrophic damage that is caused. ”
23 million wild pigs and counting
Australia is now invaded with more than 23 million wild pigs, destroying cultivation land, eliminating native species and spreading harmful weeds and mortal diseases such as Panama Tr4, which threatens our banana industry of $ 600 million.
“The Federal Government is throwing a pathetic $ 1.4 million in funds through the National Action Plan of the Ferral Pigero, while splashes $ 250 million to block the land for a climate objective ’30 × 30 ‘unrealistic,” said Knuth.
“They are launching our main industries under the bus. Wild pigs have zero environmental value.
“It is ironic that the government is spending $ 250 million to enclose more land for environmental purposes, which will lead to an even greater environmental disaster, but the federal government is too obsessed and blinded with a green washed ideology to see and understand the destruction that this will cause.”
