A hard attempt to steal cash from a family by wielding a butcher knife and stealing multiple businesses in Windsor has brought several charges to a 20-year-old man.
A short time ago Saturday, officers committed a series of incidents in the 2000 block of Wyandotte Street West.
Police said a male suspect had entered a business and wielded a butcher knife to store employees but fled after facing another worker.

The suspect soon entered another nearby business shortly afterwards, allegedly yelling at customers and an employee, while revealing a hidden knife on his belt.
Police said the suspect then fled the scene. But a few minutes later, the man approached a car occupied by two adults and a child at the intersection of Wyandotte Street West and Partington Avenue.

Police said the suspect pierced the vehicle’s tire before fleeing the scene when the driver tried to leave. The suspect was soon found and arrested in the 900 block of Randolph Street.
The 20-year-old suspect was charged with robbery, two counts of possession of weapons that are dangerous to public peace, mischiefs of under $5,000, and failure to comply with release orders.
