Kevin Bacon’s hair in ‘Footloose’ was inspired by Sting.
The 66 -year -old actor starred in the 1985 musical film when he was a teenager who moved from Chicago to a small town only to discover that dance has become illegal, and revealed that the pointed he was carrying in the film was actually a tribute to the creator of ‘Roxanne’ successes.
When asked about the first fashion trend that followed, he told the Times: “I don’t know if this says, but I was obsessed with Sting, so my hair always tried to emulate what was happening with his hair. Even if you look ‘footloose’, that complete haircut was based on any sting.”
However, Kevin recalled that it would not have been the first option of Paramount Pictures for the part, and although he had to cut his hair just for the most written, both he and the barber really had their eyes closed while their strands were being repeated.
