Two teenagers were charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in West London on Saturday, police said.

The suspects were not mentioned because they are both 16, metropolitan police said.

East Acton’s Keiron Charles, 17, died in Erconwald Street, Shepherd’s Bush, after police were called at 1310 o’clock on Saturday.

With officers and London ambulance service personnel, the scene attended the scene near the intersection with Du Cane Road and Old Oak Common Lane.

Paramedics tried to save the teenager, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila, who leads the investigation, calls it “a horrible incident in which a teenager lost his life”.

“The thoughts of everyone in the Met stay with Keiron’s family and loved ones as they start doing their tragic loss,” the officer added.

The suspects will appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Monday.
