Katy Perry was brutally mocked by US fast -cost chain Wendy’s after her Blue Origin Space Mission.
The “fireworks” singer was launched in the space on Monday (April 14) on the first female mission in more than six decades. The crew raised aboard a rocket made by Jeff Bezos’s spatial firm Blue Origin, which flew through space for about four minutes before flying back to Earth, with the entire journey lasting just over ten minutes.
Perry joined the fiancé of billionaire Lauren Sanchez, CBS News host Gayle King, former Nasa rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerian Flynn.
The official page for Wendy’s said in a photo of the singer in her space suit on Monday, who had the headline “Katy Perry returned from space”.
The company’s account replied with the comment: ‘Can we return her’.
The version of the Wendy then posted photos of Perry who kissed the ground after landing on earth again and wrote, ‘I kissed the ground and I liked it’, with reference to her 2008 song ‘I kissed a girl’.
After a fan made a pun on Perry’s songwriting, Wendy added: ‘Now she knows what it’s like to be a plastic bag gliding in the wind’, citing the opening line of her 2010 song “Firework”.
The account added: “When our women say, that’s not what we meant.”
Pop singer Kesha, 38, weighed the conversation and posted a selfie as he shook a Wendy’s shake and smiled.
Kesha’s Jab in Perry comes after the ‘Roar’ singer worked with controversial producer Dr Luke, Lukasz Gottwald, who finished a nine -year legal battle with Kesha in that year, claiming to have elicited him from drugs and rape in 2005 in 2014.
After the rocket landed safely, Gayle King told her Cbsogening Colleagues who sang Perry “who sang a wonderful world” of Louis Armstrong while in space.
Perry then told reporters of her song selection: “I have covered that song in the past and my higher myself is always sending the ship, because I had no idea that one day I would sing that song in space.”
Earlier on Sunday, Perry said she received “confirmation” that her trip aboard the rocket was written in the stars on April 14.
In a video posted on Instagram, she said she was “always looking for few confirmations of heaven, of my guides, of my angels, of my higher self.”
“When I was invited to get on this trip, I looked up the capsule. At the front of it, the outline is in the form of a feather and when I saw that it was like a total confirmation, because my mother had always called me feather, ‘she said.
‘And that’s why I’m in space training today and there’s a lot to digest. We are almost done with the day and they have shown the capsule to us and we have simulations in another capsule and tested the sound and what to expect and all these different things, and it reveals the name of the capsule.
“The name of the capsule is turtle.” A Wave, just the most energetic wave, just shot through my body. And I was like ‘what? The name of this capsule is turtle? ‘
“My mother calls me two nicknames. Feather and turtle. What are the chances of going on a rocket space in a capsule with my symbol, the feather, called turtle? “
She added: “There are no coincidences, and I am just so grateful for these confirmations and so grateful that I feel that something bigger than me is sending the ship.”
