The Australian boxer Cherneka Johnson has retained his Gallo Amb weight belt with a dominant victory over Nina Hughes of Great Britain in a rematch of the controversial fight for the title of the couple last May.
After having seen his load surpassed practically from the beginning, the corner of Hughes threw 46 seconds in the seventh round of Saturday night’s fight in Sydney.
Tko’s victory improved Johnson’s record to 17 victories from 19 professional fights and set a score with Hughes.
Hughes (6-2, 2kos) had been furious after initially receiving his last contest in Perth 10 months ago, only for the broadcaster of the ring to declare Johnson a winner of majority points.
But Johnson made the decision of the judges this time.
“Never in doubt,” Johnson said after the fight
“It was the moment I had imagined. It would be a clear and convincing victory and said it throughout the camp.
“We wanted to release much more clean shots, but fill the void and not give the room to throw blows and move it worked in my favor.
“Obviously, I am the biggest and strongest girl in the rooster weight and just add those additional blows did the job.”

But while Johnson rejoiced, his Australian partner Skye Nicolson resigned from his worldwide featherweight for the American Brown Tiara.
Brown broke Nicolson’s undefeated record in a divided decision victory after the two combatants took him out for 10 titanic rounds.
A judge granted the 96-94 fight in any way, and the third gave Brown’s fight 97-93, who claimed the WBC strap and remains undefeated in 19 professional fights.
Kamboos wins the world title opportunity
George Kambosos assured another opportunity for the world title after surviving a fierce test with a unanimous points victory over his Australian partner Jake Wyllie in his super light confrontation.
Wyllie threatened to crash into the long-awaited return to Kambero’s house before the judges granted the former world of unified lightweight worldwide combat 117-111, 117-111, 115-113.
The bold tries to become a two -peso world champion seemed in doubt when he was cut above the eye in the ninth round.

But finally he proved to be too slippery against an intrepid adversary who only accepted the fight in five days of prior notice after Kambososo programmed opponent, Indonesian senator Daud Yordan, retired for medical reasons.
“I would have loved to put it [Wylie] Far, “Kambero said.
“He was fully prepared, the 140 -pound -pounds royal champion. That’s why he received his shot, so he attributed to him.
“But a victory is a victory, and I won quite well at the points.”
The victory for Kambosos has established a probable world title crack in the undefeated super lightweight king of the FIB Richardson Hitchins.
