John Hunt told the man who was convicted of murdering his two daughters and wife that hell would roll out a “red carpet” for him.
Kyle Clifford, 26, is sentenced in the Cambridge Crown Court for triple murder and rape.
He admitted to shooting his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, 25, and her sister Hannah Hunt, 28, with a crossbow and their mother, 61-year-old Carol Hunt, last July last year.
He denied raping his ex -girlfriend Louise Hunt during the attack, but was convicted last week.
Mr. Hunt made a mighty statement from the victim in court, focused on Clifford. Here’s what he said:
Your misery will last forever
Mr. Hunt told Clifford that the ‘red carpet’ would be rolled out for him in hell.
“Whatever the misery lies ahead of you in the next 60 years … Remember that your days on earth are finished, on your dying day there will be no release for you,” he said.
“The screams of hell, Kyle, I can hear them now.”
He ended: “Your misery will last forever.”
‘I’m happy’
Mr. Hunt said his family “spent their lives bring joy, color and happiness into other people’s lives”.
“You killed three beautiful mockery, Kyle,” he said.
But he said, “I am now strongly facing you, since you are caused to a fate that is worse than death.”
“I’m happy,” he says, fighting tears. “I have the most wonderful daughter Amy, who gives me so much love, focus and purpose.”
He said he was “surrounded by incredible people” and said although he was “so badly damaged”, he believes that his daughter Hannah gave him a second chance by calling police.
He addressed Clifford, who refused to come to court, and he said that if she did not, “I believe I would have been dead – your fourth victim.”
“Do you really think I would really give up?” He added.
Funeral room ‘not big enough’
Mr. Hunt said the funeral room for his wife and two daughters were “not big enough” for three bodies.
He added that he posted a photo of their dog, Chester, in Louise’s right hand.
“They were best friends,” he says and his voice breaks.
“The impact of what you did to me will be taken to my grave.”
Clifford ‘failed’ to be the person’s daughter’s daughter
Mr. Hunt said, ‘You couldn’t be the person [Louise] need. “
He added: “Do you remember how friendly we were for you … you are always invited to meals out.”
Clifford was always made ‘welcome’, he added and asked, ‘What was it with the blissful existence you hated so much?’
“Loulou put your relationship so much effort, which you could never match,” he added.
“Carol picked up your defects from the beginning.”
He said his daughter Louise Clifford left after saying “enough is enough”.
“I hope women around the world will take Louise’s bravery as a bright beacon for their lives,” he said.
“If you feel enough is enough, then it is.”
Family members wiped away tears from their eyes when Mr. Hunt read his statement.
Father wanted to talk ‘eye to eye’ with Kyle Clifford
Mr. Hunt said he “wants to give these words with Kyle eye”.
Clifford was not in court after refusing to attend via a video guidance.
Mr. Hunt said he “initially misunderstood his purpose” when asked about a statement from the victim.
He said, “Should I really kill the impact of the three -quarters of my family?”
But he said he then realized that it was his final opportunity to say what he wanted to say to Clifford.
