US Vice President JD Vance made a ‘power movement’ that is as a favorite to be the Republican’s next presidential candidate, according to a former party chairman.
Ronna McDaniel has on the Sky News Trump 100 Podcast Her ‘money would be to’ from Vance the next nominee after his appointment as chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
McDaniel, who chaired seven years to 2024, described it as a “power movement from a political point of view and someone who understands how the rules are made”.
This is the first time a sitting vice president has served as chairman of finance.
According to McDaniel, this reflects a political awareness and ambition.
“Understanding the process, which is boring and very technical – and most people don’t understand how the RNC works – it was a big move this week Jd To take over as chairman of the finances, ‘she told Trump 100.
“This has never happened in the history of the party, where the Vice President said ‘I will be the financing leader for the National Party’. What does that mean? This means that he will deal with all the major investors in 2028. He will know them intimately.
‘But more importantly, in the next two years, the Republican National Committee will accept the rules that will determine the primary process for 2028. Which states will be first? Which premiers will be the first?
‘The whole process will be communicated by various state parties across the country in the two years.
“JD will have access to every RNC member and the Republican National Committee chairman who will set up the government rules. It shows you, the power he has now.”
Donald Trump Has previously played some of Vance’s prospects for the best track.
In a recent Fox News interview, he was asked if he considered Vance as the 2028 Republican nominee, and he replied, “No, but he is very competent.”
He added: “So far, I think he is doing a very fantastic job. It’s too early; we just start.”
Trump himself once again refused to exclude for a third term in office, although it is banned by the US Constitution, which determines a maximum of two.
In an interview with NBC News, he was asked if he wanted another term and answered, “I like work.”
When asked to make it clear, he said, ‘I don’t joke. But I’m not … it’s far too early to think about it. ‘

McDaniel told Trump 100 that she didn’t think President Trump would run for a third term, but talked about her admiration for his number two.
She said, ‘I know JD pretty well. I spent a lot of time with him Ohio – I was chairman when he ran for the Senate in Ohio, so I had a campaign with him a lot.
“I think what I appreciated most about him was in smaller institutions with business leaders or city halls with voters. He asked every question.
“He is truly, truly, really brilliant. But at the moment, his focus is to support President Trump and the administration he serves. ‘
