Israel announced on Saturday that its military had completed the creation of a new security corridor in the Gaza Strip, effectively taking over the full control of the southern city of Rafa – which Israel ordered to evacuate – and to tear it off the rest of the Palestinian territory.
“The IDF has already completed the absorption of the Morag axis, which crosses the gas between Rafa and Khan ENNIS and makes the entire area between the Axis of Philadelphi and Morag, a part of the Israeli security zone,” Israel Katz said in a statement by Israeli Defense Minister. “The IDF activity will soon expand strongly to additional places through the bigger part of the gas and you will need to evacuate the battle areas.”
More than 1500 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Israel ended with the termination of fire on March 18. A total of nearly 51,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
Earlier this month, the Israeli defense forces issued an evacuation orders for large parts of the war-torn gas, including parts of Khan Einnis and almost all of Rafa.
IDF is expanding its operations in gas as it ends with the termination of fire in March, earlier this month, saying that it will capture vast territories. On April 2, Katz said we would “seize large areas to be applied to the State of Israel’s security areas.”
Earlier this month, the Israeli defense forces issued an evacuation orders for large parts of the war-torn gas, including parts of Khan Einnis and almost all of Rafa.
This came when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the creation of the so -called Morag corridor, describing it as a “Second Philadelphi Corridor”, which will further divide the gas and increase the pressure on Hamas to release the other Israeli hostages.
The so -called Corridor Philadelphi refers to a narrow strip of land along the border of Gaza with Egypt, which has been under Israeli control since May 2024.

IDF said Israeli troops work in some areas between Rafa and Khan Enis, where they never worked before and that the strategy to establish the new security corridor is to divide Hamas fighters in Rafa from Khan Enis, Lieumer spokesman said. Nadav Shoshani to the press briefcase last week.
IDF said on Saturday that it “eliminated dozens of terrorists, disassembled underground tunnel routes and Hamas terrorist infrastructure and ended Rafa’s environment in the last week and a half.
In addressing the Palestinians in Gaza, after the end of the Morag Axis, Katz said the IDF is already expanding its territory in Gaza.

“This is the last moment to remove Hamas and the release of all hostages and the termination of the war – the activity of the IDF will soon expand vigorously to additional places through the bigger part of the gas,” he said.
“In the northern part of the gas, residents are also evacuated to Bate Hanun and other neighborhoods and the area is taken, expanding the security zone and into the Netsar corridor. The IDF activity will soon expand to additional places in the biggest part of the gas and you will need to evoke the battle areas,” Katz said.
Last week, IDF said at a press briefing that the only thing that could stop the IDF in Gaza is hostage.

Katz repeats support for the proposal of US President Donald Trump to force the Palestinians in Gaza and said they were working that the Palestinians in Gaza “voluntarily move to different countries around the world.”
In February, Trump has diverted from decades from the US foreign policy, announcing that the US will “clean” the Gaza Strip and restore it, saying that the Palestinians who live there should leave – a statement that the United Nations and the Allies, including France and Germany, called a violation of international law.

Trump at one point threatened to withdraw the help of Egypt and Jordan if they did not agree to take Palestinians, though less than 24 hours later, he said, “I don’t have to threaten this, I don’t think we’re above it.”
Egypt and Jordan both firmly opposed the forcibly displaced Palestinians.
