Interruptions in bus services due to the Union meeting

Public bus users in Christchurs and Selwyn were warned to wait for interruptions on Friday due to a driver union meeting.

Bus routes No. 3, 8, 140 and 155 will be affected from 8:20 am to 2:30 pm due to the meeting on April 11.

School services will not be affected, a Canterbury environment door said.

“Customers should be aware that some trips may end in the city’s bus exchange around 8:20 am, as drivers of one of our operators, Ritchies, to prepare to attend the meeting.

“Ritchies has worked to ensure that the remaining routes they serve will not be affected. We hope that the affected routes will be operating as usual until 2:30 pm.

“Bus drivers can attend up to two annual meetings a year, according to their collective agreement, and this is one of them.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend that customers plan in advance if they travel for public transport on this day.
