Louis Theroux will be honored next month with the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) Fellowship.
The Well -known interviewer – which has been working in the business for more than three decades, and whose strange weekends were the legend- acknowledge he initially felt like “an offender” and “imposter” in his role in the front screen.

He never filmed the now world -renowned presenter and documentary, and got his first job as a printed journalist in America after graduating from the University of Oxford.

Theroux’s interviews have a first-person storyteller, disarming his topics with charm.
In commenting on his upcoming award, Theroux said: ‘I came to the industry more than thirty years ago and felt like an offender, an increase, in a role meant for someone else, and worried me That I would be found out in the hope that I could keep going for a few months, since I enjoyed it so much.

In 2019, he founded his own production company, Mindhouse, with his wife Nancy Strang and filmmaker Arron Fellows, who manufacture documentary film and TV series, as well as his podcast.
Theroux recently revealed that he was suffering from Alopecia, which initially led to the loss of his eyebrows.

NFTS Chairman Sophie Turner Laing praised Theroux’s ‘enormous contribution’ to the world of factual filmmaking: ‘His ability to contact audiences and expose powerful human stories makes him a real icon in the industry.’
Previous recipients of the Honorary Society include James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, director Sam Mendes and child writer Malorie Blackman.
NFTS graduates have won 15 Oscars and 166 Baftas since the school, with the current graduates’ work on the BFI Southbank from Monday, March 3 to Thursday, March 6.
The scholarship will be awarded to Theroux on Friday, March 7 during the school’s graduation.
