Australian billionaire Adrian Portelli has delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars in supermarket gift cards in Queensland shopping centers today.
The raffle attracted large crowds in Nerang choles in the Gold Coast this morning, where the tails spread through the door, before Portelli moved to Colles RedBank Plaza.
Some buyers had camped from 7 am to have the opportunity to obtain the gift cards of $ 200 cabbage.
“We are all making it hard, all of us, so it has arrived at the right time,” said a buyer.
“It means a lot in a pension, a disability pension, it does not go far enough. Now I can propose Easter, I suppose, for grandchildren and great -grandchildren,” said another buyer.
Others still managed to get a gift card after arriving at 9 am
“Was it worth it? Oh, my word was worth it,” said a woman.
“I would have been here at 7 am if I could get here.”
Portelli said he had given gift cards worth $ 140,000 throughout the day to help people fight the cost of living.
“People are making it hard, so if you have the means to do it, you could also,” he said, he said
The billionaire said on social networks that his next raffle will be in cabbage at the Lismore Square shopping center in NSW at 10 am in tomorrow.
