The Chamber will continue with a final vote to mark the democratic representative Al Green on Thursday morning after his interruptions during President Donald Trump’s speech to a joint congress session on Tuesday night.
The Democrats failed to block their efforts with the 209-211-1 vote.
On Wednesday morning, several members of the GOP conference spread various resolutions for Green’s distrust, which was thrown out of the House of the House after repeatedly interrupting Trump’s remarks.
Republican representative Dan Newhaus was the first to formally introduce a resolution on the floor of the house on Wednesday.
“Decoration and order are the institutional grounds for the way we do business in the United States Congress, and the pure disregard for this standard during the address of President Trump of the Lord from Texas is unacceptable,” a news report said. “The refusal of a member to adhere to the direction of the speaker to end such behavior, regardless of their party, and will continue to be reprimanded at the people’s home.”
The resolution of censorship is an official reprimand by the Chamber for violations of the Code of Conduct of the Chamber. Voting to deny a member of the Chamber does not have any power beyond the public condemnation of the behavior of the member and does not deny the privileges of the members.
This requires a simple majority for passing. Members of the Chamber’s censorship have been historically rare, but over the last few years we have seen members of the two political parties use this as a political instrument.
Green will become the fifth member of the Congress, which will be counted during this decade.
Green on Wednesday defended his actions on the floor of the house last night, saying, “I would do it again.”
“I’m not angry with the speaker. I’m not angry with officers. I’m not upset by members who will bring the proposals or resolutions for sanction. I will suffer the consequences,” he said.

Green’s outbreak happened within minutes of Trump’s address when the president called his election victory a “mandate”.
Green, an 11th Democrat, representing the Houston region, stood up and pointed to his cane as he shouted, “You don’t have a mandate to cut Medicaid.”
Spokesman Mike Johnson hit his hammer and warned of legislators gathered to maintain the décor, telling Green several times to take their place. As Green continued to protest, Johnson urged him to be removed.
Johnson said after Trump’s address that Green should be censored and that he would “absolutely” would put a resolution on the floor after his introduction. He told reporters, “This is a performance that was not necessary. He made a story in a terrible way. And I hope he enjoys him.”
On Good Morning America on Wednesday morning, Johnson also defended his decision to remove Green.
“Al Green was trying to interrupt the whole procedure. But look, I’ll just say that. If the Democrats want a 77-year congressman to be the face of their resistance, to get away to the president, and then bring him,” he said.

Green told ABC News late Tuesday night that he “followed the wishes of conscience.”
“There are times when it is better to stand on your own than you don’t stand at all,” Green said. He added, “At one point, we will all have to stand up.”
Green said that on Wednesday afternoon, he did not talk to the democratic leadership of the incident, as he mourns the loss of the Texas Democratic Representative Sylvester Turner.
