Horror scenes as 65-year-old man killed after being struck by two cars

A 65 -year -old man died after being hit by two separated cars in Adelaida.

The emergency services were called to the intersection of Wakefield St and Frome St around 9.30 pm on Sunday after a collision reports.

Police believe that the man walked along the road when he was beaten by a four -wheel drive in Nissan.

The man was hit by a second vehicle, a Mazda truck.

The 65 -year -old man was declared dead at the scene.

The witnesses remembered having heard the tragic incident that developed.

“They said they heard the explosion and listened to a scream, but they knew that he was not the person who was lying on the way,” said Kingsley Lewis to 9News.

The police arrested the 61 -year -old driver of the four -wheel drive Nissan who was accused of cause of death by careless driving.

He was rescued and is expected to appear in the Court of Magistrates of Adelaida on June 18.

The Mazda driver, a 20 -year -old Hillcrest man, is helping the police with his investigation: both vehicles were towed from the scene for forensic tests.

Police have published images of two cars, it is not believed that they participate in the collision.

“After the initial collision between the usefulness of Nissan and the pedestrian a dark sedan with a spoiler in the rear and a white SUV in CCTV images to pass through the collision scene in a west direction,” said the police statement.
