A homicide investigation is being carried out after a man was killed in an altercation on the coast of Queensland.
Police alleges that the 49 -year -old man altered with an 82 -year -old man in a house in Maroochydore at 1.30 pm
The 49 -year -old man died after confrontation while his 82 -year -old father was transported to Nambour Hospital.
9News understands that the fight between the father and the son broke out, who lives with disabilities.
“Those two men were known to each other and lived in the same direction,” said Detective Robert Lowry’s Senior.
A 47 -year -old neighbor hastened to the scene to provide assistance, police said.
Neighbor Angie Windsor heard the confrontation.
“There was a guy screaming, he was quite frustrated and angry,” Windsor said.
Detectives say there were no weapons involved in the altercation, and detectives have not yet determined the cause of death of man.
“Investigation is being carried out in relation to the incidents prior to the altercation and the events after the altercation,” Lowry said.
No charges have been presented.
