The Minister of Home Affairs denied that the government had averted its response to the approach of gangs for child care.
Yvette Cooper announced at the beginning of the year that ‘victim -centered, locally guided inquiries’ would take place in five areas, including Oldham, Greater Manchester.
But this week, the security of Minister Jess Phillips did not give an update on local reviews and said that local authorities would be able to access a £ 5m fund to support any work they wanted to do.
On a question by Anna Jones on Sky News or that means the government is watering its reaction, Ms Cooper said: “No, completely the opposite.
“What we do is to increase the action we are tackling this cruel crime.”
