Heavyweight producers Amy Pascal David Heyman ‘being lined up as new James Bond franchise bosses’

It is said that heavyweight producers Amy Pascal David Heyman are being aligned by Amazon MGM Studios to head the future of the James Bond franchise.

Amazon recently took creative control of the 007 custodians for a long time, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson, and Variety has reported the apparent negotiations with Amy and David as speculation continues to grow among fans about who will fill Daniel Craig’s shoes as the next actor to assume the role of Spy.

Amy, 66, is the former head of Sony Pictures and since then has been established as one of the main Hollywood producers, working on films such as ‘Spider-Man: No Way Way Home’ and ‘Little Women’.

In Sony, it was involved in the distribution of the study of several Bond films, including ‘Skyfall’ of 2012, which is still the highest grossing film in the history of the franchise.

David, 62, is better known for producing the ‘Harry Potter’ series and his spin-offs ‘Fantastic Beasts’, as well as films acclaimed as ‘Gravity’ and the ‘Paddington’ movies.

Amazon acquired MGM in 2021 in an agreement worth $ 8.5 billion, which included the rights of James Bond.

Last month, the company arrived at the headlines when it reached an agreement to buy the creative control of the Eon Productions franchise, the firm led by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.

Since the launch of Bond Film ‘DR NO’ in 1962, the Broccoli family has carefully controlled the direction of the 007 franchise.

But since Daniel’s final appearance as the spy in ‘No time to die’ in 2021, the development of a new film has stagnated, without the actor is still chosen as the next link.

Names such as Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill and Tom Holland have been mentioned frequently as potential successors.

Amazon MGM Studios has not yet officially commented on the possible participation of Amy Pascal and David Heyman in the series, but experts say the measure suggests that the company is looking for experienced producers to guide the franchise in a new era.
