Hans Zimmer had vertigo earlier, but overcame it to the point that he could perform in the helicopter of the Burj Al Arab, one of the highest hotels in the world.
The reverent composer (67) appears in the scene that falls into the jaw for his new documentary, Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, which has been opened this week for a limited version in certain global theaters.

Stranged with footage of the concert in the Coca-Cola arena in Dubai, dramatic performances such as the one at the Burj Al Arabian, along with interviews with some of the German musician nearest co-workers, from directors Denis Villeneuve and Christopher Nolan to actors Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya.
“I think I have the best orchestra in the world now,” Zimmer said The independent‘s new podcast, Roisin O’Connor’s good vibrations. “We were in the midst of East and Denis [Villeneuve] was shooting Dune Around the corner, so we thought … do you know, why not? ‘
He said it was important to be able to capture the mere scale of his tour surgery, which now includes “15 articulated trucks and 13 buses”, so fans can enjoy it “all over the world”.

“I got vertigo earlier,” he said as he discussed the scene in the Burj Al Arab, “but I also did not sit on a stage for 40 years, because I raised.
“And the whole thing to be afraid by 20,000 people every night, and at the same time, to love everything that is going on … Suddenly I no longer have vertigo. You just know how to plant your feet. And I went to the edge! ‘

Zimmer is now so used to the stage that he could call the courage to represent his partner, hotel and film producer Dina de Luca during a direct performance in the O2 Arena in London, in 2023.

The romantic gesture was not planned, he revealed: ‘I just had to do it. She looked so beautiful. I knew what I wanted to do, but I didn’t dare to do it. And that’s why I said, “I have some important questions to ask you … You, did you put the milk back in the fridge? Did you close the back door? Will you marry me? ‘
He confirmed that she accepted and praised his partner because he was “incredibly supportive” of his career.

In the same interview, Zimmer discussed how he continued to write music after taking the score for Villeneuve’s adjustment of Dune starring Chalamet and Zendaya, only to hear later that it did not suit him for the Oscars DUNE: Part Two has been submitted.
“I was disqualified by the Oscars because the music Dune 2 Used was created before the film, ”he said.
“One of their reasons was because I used the songs again from the first film, but of course I used the songs again from the first film, because it was the completion of a story with the same characters!”
He joked: ‘Maybe we should have recreated [the sequel] also. “
Zimmer won the Oscar for the best score in 2022 for his work on the first Dune movie. His first win in the Oscar Award was in 1994 for The lion’s king.

The current Academy rules for music are eligible from the successors: “In cases such as successors and franchises from any media, the score should not use more than 20 percent of the existing themes and music borrowed from previous scores in the franchise.”
Villeneuve also returned to the idea that Zimmer’s second score should be considered unfit, tell Variety’s awards lane podcast that he has done ‘a tremendous amount of music’ and that Part two was a new score.
The composer is the first to admit that he occasionally had to be persuaded to do things, such as when Pharrell Williams and Johnny Marr first convinced him to take his music on tour. The trio discusses their conversations in the documentary, with Marr joking that Zimmer is now touring more than him.
Meanwhile, Marr’s son Nile, also a musician, was apparently the one who told him to “get over himself” and execute the score The lion king At Coachella Festival in 2017.
“I didn’t want to play it. I’m going, no, it’s a kid’s film, “Zimmer explained. “And Nile goes,” Hans, it was the music of my youth, got out there. “And we played it, and 80,000 people started crying. “
Zimmer’s daughter, graphic artist, photographer and model Zoë Zimmer, also told him that he should perform at Glastonbury: “I think it’s on the cards,” he said. “I would very much like to be the strange guy who is an orchestra and a choir.”
The full episode of ‘Good Vibrations’ with Zimmer is available on all Streaming platforms from Wednesday, March 26. ‘Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert’ is now in theaters for a limited time.
