Queensland Prime Minister David Crisafulli said that 2032 would be Queensland’s games.
“These games are a unique opportunity in generating an infrastructure, tourism and a base sport legacy to benefit all Queensland,” said Crisafulli.
“The delivery of 2032 and beyond establishes the plan to build much more than what is needed for a few weeks of competition.
“This is a plan that develops for our future, ensuring that regional communities continue to benefit in the coming decades.
“As for 2032, through better connectivity and adequate infrastructure, the Gold coast will be ready to open its doors not only to games but more tourists, more employment and more opportunities.”
