The images of the Police Body Chambers taken in August 2021, showed Gabby Petito being interrogated by the police about an alleged dispute with his fiance Brian Laundrie.
“I never saw the video,” said Joe Petito Weekend today.
“I have only seen fragments and interviews like this, I have read the transcription, but I can’t see that,” he said.
The footage shows an officer by pulling a truck on August 12, 2021 after it was seen accelerating and hitting a sidewalk near the entrance to the Arches National Park.
Inside was Brian Laundrie, 23, and his 22 -year -old girlfriend, Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito, who was reported as disappeared by his family a month later and was subject to a national search.
The officer heard details of a discussion between Petito and Lavrie.
Police decided not to present any position and, instead, separated the couple at night.
Petito was found dead months later.
Petito Tara’s stepmother told her Weekend today She had seen the footage and found it extremely triggered.
“I just want to contact and help her,” he said.
“We tell police officers to use it as a training tool to help train other police officers about strangulation, about warning signs, red flags.
“We are trying to take our pain and turn it into something.”
Petito’s parents said they remember her as “an incredible person.”
“He had goals and had dreams. And they were tragically removed,” said Tara.

Joe Petito said that a base in Gabby strives to raise awareness about victims and survivors of domestic violence.
