The police were called to the reports of a stabbing in Doveton around 6.50 pm yesterday.
The officers were told that an altercation had exploded between two groups of people in Laburnum Grove.
Three men and a woman were taken to the hospital with injuries that do not threaten life.
Both parties were known to each other, police said.
An investigation into the stabbing is still ongoing.
