Former former Bachelor The star Sean Lowe unveiled a heinous attack by the new rescue dog of his family, Moose, who made him fight for his life.
Lowe and his wife, Catherine Giudici, appeared in a video on Lowe’s Instagram on Monday, revealing that Moose, the dog who adopted the couple in January, attacked him more than once. “I debated whether we should share it in public or not, but I just thought you were going to ask questions and probably see things, so I could just as well come out,” he preceded the video.
He revealed that he was home with his friends on Thursday while his wife and children were in the mall when the smoke alarm went off. He entered a dish to clean everything that blows off his grid.
“And as I hold the dishwasher, Moose comes up and bites it and nods my finger really aggressively, something he doesn’t. So, you know, I gave him a ‘no moose’, ” Lowe said.
But Moose then began to bite his feet, so powerful that the dog stabbed holes in his shoes.
He continued to tell Moose “no” when the dog began to attack him.
“It was right at that moment where he showed his teeth on me and just attacked me, and I didn’t mean like biting and running like many dogs do when they are scared or defensive. I mean, attack me, and I feel how he just jerks in the flesh of my arm, ”Lowe said.
“And at this point I do everything I can just to ward off this dog,” he added.
Despite the fact that Lowe “bleed badly” at that point, he could get moose in the backyard before running back through the door and attacking Lowe again.
“I was honestly just feeling that I was fighting a dog around my life here,” he said. “Not just a dog. My dog, right? Like, he’s my dog. We only had him a little less than three months, but as he is my dog. ‘
Lowe then took the time to look at the state of his arm and notice that the blood was “spraying” a few feet. He then began to warn his friends to “rush” him to the emergency room and call his wife. Eventually, he received stitches in ‘five or six different places’ over his arm.
The next day the Bachelor Alum, who is now afraid of the safety of his children, has begun to investigate a “kill” kennels. As his parents arrive to pick up his children, Moose starts to run out of the front door for a third time.
“Going through a dog attack is traumatic,” Lowe said. ‘To revive it less than 12 hours later, it is a feeling that I do not want to experience again. Not to talk to my arm was just useless because it was all lit and [I was] Struggling to move it. And there are a few seconds where I look at him and I just pray, like, “Please let it be the friendly moose I know.” ‘
Once again, Moose began to attack and “jerk” in Lowe’s arm. “I can wrestle him on the ground. And this dog is so strong, he is so explosive, but I can wrestle him on the ground, ”he explained.
“I grabbed his collar, but I know he’s ripped my arm open, and I just know, as I fight for my life here, as I feel like this dog rises, he’s going to kill me.”
His family then called 911.
Lowe eventually laid ten minutes above Moose while waiting for the police to show up, saying that they even struggled to gain control of the dog.
He explained that, despite all the Moose, he did not blame the dog because he acknowledged that the family was aware that Moose ‘experienced’ a lot of trauma ‘before he was adopted.
“We miss our dog, as strange as it sounds. He was a very good dog, ”Lowe concluded. “And we miss him.”
