The second time in three years, the Lajeunesse Royals returned to the top.

After the bronze medal was completed a year ago, the Royals won the second gold medal in two years, winning the Ofsaa boys basketball championship in Woodstock.
“It’s an amazing game,” said Royals head coach Geoff Parent. “You can’t ask for a better group of people.”
Lajuensse must rally in semi-final victory and gold medal final. The Royals were 6 points behind in the first quarter but rebounded to beat Brampton Jeunes in the semifinals 57-44. Against the hosts and 3-seeded Woodstock Red Devils, Lajeunesse trailed 8 points after the first quarter, but the rally took a one-point lead in the half and ended up with a 55-45 victory. Jacy Zhang led the Royals’ offense with 18 points and Lucas Kwapisz scored 15 points.

“It’s a great environment,” the parents said of the final. “They’re on fire and raising the crowd, but we were able to turn the trend around in the second quarter.”
Eight wrestling medals
Local wrestlers won nine medals at the OFSAA Wrestling Championships in Kitchener, including five silver medals and four bronze medals.
Assume that the three members of the Purple Raider won the silver medal with Mimi Okeke, who won the feat in the women’s 77kg race in the women’s 67.5kg feat in the women’s 72kg female driver and Daniella Papia.
Massey’s Aamina Ajaz won the silver medal in the women’s 44kg class, and Bell River’s Camden Gerard won a silver medal in the boys’ 41kg class.
The bronze medals are in 38kg Jacob Sutton of Kennedy, Jaylen Brooks of Kennedy, Boy’s 44kg, Logan Debono of Riverside, Boy’s 54kg, Boy’s 54kg, and Boy’s Frigancsco lapico of villanova, Boy’s 61kg partition.

Cardinal Carter Cougars’ Taya Hutchison once again made his mark at the Ofsaa Swimming Championships in Toronto.

He traveled to Ohio State and Ohio State, winning two of her own records of her own in a two-day conference.
The gold medal in the women’s 50-meter freestyle with a 25.43 second opening, which improved her old record of 25.46 seconds set a year ago.
And Hutchison added her second gold medal in the Open Women’s 100m freestyle in 55.92 seconds, which also broke the mark of 56.02 seconds set a year ago.
Giulia Mancini of the Knights also hit the gold medal by hitting the Para Girls’ 50-meter backstroke in 44.04 seconds.
