Seven police in Florida were placed on leave after their sheriff said their handling of a case of domestic violence was “weak.”
Mary Gingles, her father David Ponzer and her neighbor Andrew Ferrin were all shot dead earlier this month, said the Sheriff’s Broward County office, while Mary’s four -year -old daughter was kidnapped. Now Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony said seven officers had “lacked” the case after receiving several calls from Mary, who told them that her husband was taking ‘steps’ to kill her and waited for the good time. ‘
“We did not come to this one answer in terms of how some of the patrol staff documented certain facts related to calls that returned to December,” Tony told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday.
“Basically, we had the chance to save the life of your loved one and we failed,” Tony added.

Now Mary’s husband Nathan Gingles has been arrested on various charges, including murder, kidnapping and child abuse.
On February 16, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to shooting reports in Tamarac. There, they found that Mary Gingles’ father David Ponzer, 64, died of a gunshot wound to her back patio.
When police searched the Ferrin’s neighboring home, he was also found and Mary was fatally shot.
Investigators believe Mary ran to Ferrin’s home to escape the attack, but Nathan followed her there. Ferrin was an ‘innocent and unsuspecting resident’, according to the court documents reviewed by NBC News.
Police also discovered that Mary’s four -year -old daughter Seraphine Gingles was taken out of the house by Nathan. Police issued a nationwide Amber Alert and found her safe and unharmed “in Nathan’s car a few hours later.
The four -year -old then told investigators that her father had shot her mother ‘hundred’ times, NBC News reports.
A year ago, Mary filed her first command of domestic violence against Nathan – while sought a divorce – before submitting a second one in December, NBC News reports.
“With the violent history of Nathan, his blatant disregard for rules or laws, and she tells of our daughter that he’s going to kill me, I’m afraid of my life …” Mary wrote in the December court petition, reviewed by Miami Herald. “He has already taken steps to prepare to kill me, but wait for the good time.”

She also made at least two calls on domestic violence, with the first one in October.
“Obviously, we could probably have done more in that element, and that’s what we’re looking at,” Tony said of the October call.
Mary made the second call in December, saying that the deputy deputy was afraid that Nathan would kill her.
Tony said delegates could chase Nathan afterwards – but not.
“It’s just a matter of what I’ve seen of P ***-SWAK PERFORMANCE, SOPLECTORY and PEOPLE who don’t do their caution,” Tony said. He branded it: “Bull **** work.”
The seven officers on leave are: Michael Paparella; Travis Allen; Devounds Williams; Ilany ceballos; Brittney King; Joseph Sasso; And Daniel Munoz.
