Customs now seized about 78 kg of drugs in less than a week.

Auckland Airport’s interim manager, Auckland, said Customs will continue to work throughout the sector to ensure the supply chain and quickly act to eliminate drugs entering the country.

“This demonstrates the need for constant surveillance, information sharing and networks throughout the aviation sector.

“It’s a combined effort to keep illicit drugs outside New Zealand communities and prevent criminals from cultivating user demand,” Wells said.
