Simon Calder reports directly from London St. Pancras:

Car and ferry or Eurotunnel

Much space is available on DFDs, Irish ferries and P&O feather boats sails from Dover to Calais (and DFDs to Dunkirk) over the weekend.

The same goes for commuting from Folkestone to Calais.

Train

The independent have made several attempts to see which seats are available on trains running from London to Lille, from where other surface options – including trains to Marne La Vallée/Disneyland Paris, east of the capital.

But the Eurostar DAPP nor the site allows it to make reservations. The app says to customers: ‘Sorry, something went wrong. Go to the homepage. ”

The site simply contains an endless turning eurostar logo. So it is currently impossible to recommend any solutions involved in Eurostar.

Train and ferry

The best solution is DFDs from Newhaven to Diepps, as further train via Rouen to Paris served St-Lazare station in the French capital, which is not affected by the closure.

P&O feather boats usually carry from Dover to Calais every day on a few passengers on the passengers. But due to the eurostar closing, it is more evening sails available.

You can easily reach Dover from London on the High Speed 1 line of St Pancras to Dover Priory. The ferry is £ 37.25. Foot passenger application closes 90 minutes before departure.

From Dunkirk or Calais on the other side of the channel, the best plan is to go to Lille and try to get a train to Marne La Vallée/Disneyland Paris – or to fail, a coach.

International coach

Fully discussed from London to Paris, although Flixbus shows a strange connection via Antwerp that lasts more than 17 hours.

Air

Many passengers have chosen to fly from another British city – including Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds – to Paris. All such flights for Friday have been fully discussed.

The same goes for other French cities – although there are seats on Easyjet from London Gatwick to Strasbourg on Friday night, with an early train from the Alsian city to Paris EST which arrives before 9am on Saturday.
